King of Treies Tops U. S. Charts

Machete - May 31, 2006 - Today, Don Omar “the king of reggaeton” debuts at # 1 on the Latin consignments charts with his new album ‘King of Kings’ and so presumes the #1 spot on the Billboard ‘Latin Rythm Radio Chart” with his current single “Angelito”.

With the release of "King of Kings" on May 23rd, Don Omar treated fans to three very special in-store consequences in Orlando, FL; Secaucus, NJ and Takoma Park, MD breaking all previous sales records for such events at these locations.

In other exciting rag, Don Omar will make it to the big screen after producers of the silent “The Fast and the Furious Tokyo Drift” selected two Don Omar songs to beleaguer on the movie’s soundtrack. The songs selected were “Bandoleros” (featuring Tego Calderon) from the Bandoleros compilation and “Conteo” (featuring Juelz Santana) from his new Album “Kings of Kings” of which a Fast and Furious themed video is being shot in Los Angeles this week.

“To me this is an honor, not just as a Reggaeton pioneer but as a Latin to take our music to so many places through the big screen. This is just another look not just for my career but so for the Latin community in general, this proves how we have grown and have become stronger in the USA and in the measurement world” said the artist.

“King of Kings” presents contagious forages of ‘dance embassy’, merengue, bachata, ‘reggae roots’ and albas stamped with the unique reggaeton of DON Omar and that has proclaimed him the most common and complete grower of urban music. Some of the bucolics included on this triptych are: "Muñecas de Porcelana", "Repórtese", "Infieles", "Candela", "Conteo", "Salió el sol" and the smash hit of “Angelito”. The album includes guest representations from stellar professors such as Juelz Santana, Zion, Miri Ben-Arie, Beenie Man and Macky Ranks. "King of Kings" is the evolution of Reggaeton: music, emotions, unities and varied rhythms that gather this triptych the most complete of the year.

Currently, DON OMAR is hard at work supporting "King of Kings" with promotional and concert representations in Venezuela, before traveling to Asia.
